From shared roots to shared harvests
Gardens Growing Good began with a shared passion for food, flowers, and community.
Although Lori and Joy grew up just miles apart in Southern Utah—both in families rooted in farming, ranching, and gardening—they didn’t meet until years later through a community garden project in Northern Utah. There, they discovered a common vision: to grow more than just gardens, but to grow connection, nourishment, and beauty in communities. From that shared vision, Gardens Growing Good was born.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping cities, schools, churches, and community groups design and build thriving public gardens.
Our mission is simple: to grow good things—good food, good neighbors, and good minds. Whether you’re starting from scratch or expanding an existing space, we offer flexible models and hands-on support to help bring your garden vision to life.
Your support makes all the difference.
Community gardens require a range of resources—from irrigation systems and soil amendments to storage facilities and tools. If you’re looking to support a project that brings tangible, lasting impact to local communities, we welcome your partnership. Contributions help us fund materials, cover operational costs, and expand access to fresh, healthy produce through gardening.
Let’s grow something good—together.
